Genuine CUPRA K1 build #129 of 450 107k miles MOT MAR 27 as a fast-road/back-road weapon rather than a show car.

This has had a huge amount of money spent on the mechanicals and performance upgrades. The major engine, fuelling, turbo, cooling, clutch, braking and suspension work has already been carried out.

The project was ongoing, but a house move means I no longer have anywhere to store it, so unfortunately it has to go.

Currently mapped safe as it needs an rs3 fuel pump to max this setup out, hardware to support 400–410 bhp.

There is also an AEM water/methanol injection kit available with the car if the right money is offered. It will require a nozzle to be fitted.

It was built as a b road weapon, it's not a polished to death ceramic coated show pony.

Interior stripped for weight reduction

Rear seats removed

Original seats are included with the sale though.

Extremely loud exhaust cracked and flames.

4-paddle clutch is understandably jerky at low speed but holds very well no slip.

Not designed to be a comfortable daily driver

Long journeys will be noisy!

⚠️ KNOWN ISSUES / PLEASE READ

I'm being completely upfront about the condition so there are no surprises for the buyer.

Car has been sitting for several months

It smokes slightly after being left idling, particularly while idling (charging battery)

Smoke clears once the car is driven

Its not been driven likely needs a good run. 

Coolant temperature sensor needs replacing

Currently storing a DTC for the coolant temperature sensor

Drives despite this fault

Requires the RS3 fuel pump if the buyer wants to complete the fuelling setup and run the intended full-power map

Some cosmetic bodywork imperfections, including flaky areas rear arch etc and a couple of carpark type dings and scuffs

💰 SUMMARY

This isn't a polished, ceramic-coated show pony.

It's a genuine CUPRA K1 that has been built as a proper fast-road/back-road weapon, with a serious amount of money already invested in the mechanical side.

It now needs someone to take it to the next stage.

Sort the cosmetic bits and finish the fuelling setup and you've got the basis of a very serious K1.

Alternatively, leave it as-is and enjoy it as intended: a loud, stripped-out, aggressive weekend toy that was built to be driven rather than polished and parked at shows.
