For sale is a Buffalo / MELCO HRX-C12Q CPU upgrade module (PCB marked HRX-12S4-A), made in Japan.
Equipped with a 50MHz IBM 486SLC2 processor and Cyrix 87DLC coprocessor.

This accelerator was designed for NEC PC-9801 VX, RX, UX, EX, and DX series systems.

There are online reports and user blogs suggesting that the HRX-C12Q / HRX-12S4-A may also operate in certain non-PC-98 systems such as IBM PS/2 Model 30 286 and Tandy 1000 TL/2. I have not personally tested it in those systems, and compatibility outside the PC-9801 series is not guaranteed. Buyers intending to use it in non-PC-98 machines should verify compatibility independently.
