✨TACHIKICHI Japanese Ceramic brand ✨HAKEME ーbrush marksー is a traditional Japanese ceramic technique that holds significant cultural importance.

Historical Background
The hakeme technique can trace its origins to China's Northern Song Dynasty, and it was widely adopted in Japan up until the early Showa period (around the 1930s). This technique evolved alongside the development of Japanese ceramic culture, coming to reflect a unique aesthetic sensibility.

Characteristics of the Technique
Hakeme involves applying slip (liquid clay) with a brush while the pottery wheel is turning. This method creates distinctive patterns on the surface of the vessel, producing a rustic and natural texture.
