A vintage Royal Corps of Signals car grille badge with the “Tactical Recognition” colours blue and white/ cream. Mercury the winged messenger is balanced on a globe together with a banner of the motto “Certo Cito”. The badge is enamelled and has a metal backing plate. There are 2 fixing screws and nuts; only one has a small metal washer. From top to bottom it measures 11cm x 8.3cm wide. It is in good condition and any wear is in keeping with age and use; it has some surface scratches and the surround could probably do with a polish; I have left it unpolished with age patina. Please look at all the photos as they form an important part of the description. Thank you for your interest.
