BRUNSWICK / BRAUNSCHWEIG – 1866 COMPLETE COVER (b82)
Attractive classic Brunswick cover franked with a 2 Groschen blue adhesive stamp, Michel 19, from the 1865 issue.
The stamp is line-perforated / rouletted (Durchstich) and tied by a blue numeral cancellation associated with Seesen. A clear blue rectangular SEESEN datestamp is also struck on the front.
The cover is addressed to the Herzogliches Amtsgericht at Lutter am Barenberge.
An arrival datestamp LUTTER A.B. – 25 FEB. 1866 is present on the reverse.
The 2 Groschen stamp has good colour and a generally attractive appearance, with the characteristic line perforation clearly visible.
Condition: stamp generally Fine to Very Fine.
The cover shows normal age and postal wear, with significant tears and opening damage on the reverse, especially along the folds and flap. These faults do not affect the attractive front appearance.
Please examine the enlarged front and back scans carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
An attractive and desirable Brunswick postal-history item with blue Seesen cancellations.
