This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 10 x 8 inches (254x203mm).
It shows a large military aircraft, visually identified as a Vickers Valiant bomber, parked on an airfield tarmac. A Land Rover is parked near the open crew door at the front of the aircraft. The vehicle has 'RAF POLICE' painted on its front bumper. Two men in uniform are visible with the vehicle; one is seated in the driver's seat and the other is standing in the back. The tarmac shows numerous dark tyre marks. Faint numbers '419-66' are visible in the bottom right corner of the image.
The reverse has handwritten pencil text that appears to read '6 Squadron'.
