G.I. Joe: Infestation 2 #1 (IDW, 2012) opens the G.I. Joe chapter of IDW's Lovecraftian Infestation 2 crossover, written by Mike Raicht with interior art by Valentine De Landro and a painted Cover B by Livio Ramondelli showing Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow against the flames. Cobra's dark experiments open a portal to a realm of violence and madness, Viper squadrons fall under the thrall of the Elder Gods, and the only hope lies in a group of already-insane Cobra agents — Crystal Ball, Interrogator, Raptor, Cesspool and Gristle — and a Joe named Snake Eyes.
