Signal path order
Aerial wire goes to the coil input
Coil output goes to the diode
Diode goes to the earphone
Earphone returns to the earth wire
No instructions but the base confirms the position of components
Coil
The large copper winding at the top
Its two wire ends go into the two top terminals
Diode
Small glass component already visible between two terminals
It must stay in that position and orientation as shown
Earphone
Connects to the two lower terminals marked with the headphone or speaker symbol
Aerial wire
Long yellow wire
Connect to the terminal marked with an aerial symbol or at the start of the coil circuit
Earth wire
Red wire
Connect to the terminal marked with the earth symbol completing the circuit
Important detail
The diode direction matters
Leave it exactly as installed on your unit
If reversed, the radio will not work
