Photo Overview
A period RCA Records promotional portrait card of Clodagh Rodgers, inscribed in blue marker “To Grace, love, Clodagh.” The printed lower border credits “CLODAGH RODGERS — RCA RECORDS” with her fan?club address “Clodagh’s Club, , London W.1.” Blank reverse. Circa 1970, during Rodgers’ RCA hit years; approx. 3.5 x 5.5 inches, ideal for framed display and collectors of vintage UK pop ephemera.
Northern Irish-born pop vocalist Clodagh Rodgers scored multiple UK Top 10 singles including Come Back and Shake Me (1969) and represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision 1971 with Jack in the Box, which propelled extensive TV appearances on Top of the Pops and variety shows. Authentic early-1970s fan?club promo cards signed to a named recipient are scarcer than later-bookplate signatures—secure this one now before it’s gone.
Print analysis: Period RCA promotional halftone/litho photo card, blank back, with contemporaneous inscription in marker. The fan?club imprint “Clodagh’s Club, , London W.1.” and RCA credit indicate a circa 1970 distribution date aligned with her hit period. As a lithographically printed promo (not a darkroom silver?gelatin), it is a period original promotional print; functionally Type 1 for its issue context (produced within a few years of the photo), though technically a litho promo rather than a photographic Type 1.
Condition: In good vintage condition. Please see scans of the image we have provided for the most accurate and complete state of the photo.
