This is an uncommon AL MAR Model 3002 SERE Lightweight folding knife, made in Seki, Japan. It was sold in Japan under the name “SERE Lightweight” and is believed to have been intended primarily for the Japanese market.

A lightweight variation of the classic SERE folder, it features a black-finished aluminum handle with horizontal slots. The handle follows a similar profile to the neoprene-handled version and includes a belt clip and lanyard hole.

The braided leather lanyard is the one originally supplied in the box when the knife was sold.

The knife is unused and retains its factory edge. There are slight surface scuffs on the handle, and portions of the logo markings show light wear and fading. The blade has very fine scratches visible at certain angles under the light, as shown in the close-up photos.
