Launched as an "artist-grade" line to compete with premium foreign imports, the Rubens edition features the classic portrait emblem of Flemish master Peter Paul Rubens on the front fascia.

• Based on the chevron pattern styling, the "Binney & Smith Co. New York" address imprint, and the specific Certified Product (CP) Non-Toxic seal style on the rear face, this particular box dates precisely from the 1940s to early 1950s.

• The Box: In exceptional vintage condition for its age. Graphics are clean and vibrant with bright green and yellow colors. The tuck-in top flap is fully intact and attached without heavy splitting or severe tearing—a rarity for cardboard items of this vintage.
