Our condition categories for analog viewfinder cameras
Our used viewfinder cameras are manually checked before sale and divided into the following condition categories:
- Good: Technically fully functional, with slight signs of wear such as small scratches or abrasion on the housing.
- Acceptable: Fully functional, but with clearly visible signs of wear such as scratches, paint abrasion or slight dents.
- Partial defect: Important basic functions are provided, but the exposure meter is defective.
- Defect: No longer functional - suitable as a collector's item, decoration or spare parts dispenser.
We check these functions for viewfinder cameras:
- ✅ Trigger mechanism
- ✅ Film transport and rewind mechanism
- ✅ Closure function
- ✅ Exposure meter (if available)
- ✅ Viewfinder image (visible and without coarse dirt)
We are checking these points not:
- ❌ Light seals (unless obviously damaged)
- ❌ Exposure meter accuracy
- ❌ Self-timer function
Please note: Every camera is unique. Serial numbers, logos, paint condition and other visual details may vary. We do not test shoot with film.
