[DESCRIPTION] For sale is an exceptionally rare, complete three-volume set of 17th-century legal folios: "Reports in the Court of Kings Bench at Westminster, from the XII to the XXX Year of the Reign of our Late Sovereign Lord King Charles II." Taken by Jos. Keble of Greys-Inn, Esquire.
Printed in London in 1685, this monumental 3-volume publication includes Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3 in their uniform antiquarian bindings. Complete sets of Keble's reports are increasingly difficult to find intact and offer a fascinating primary source for English Common Law during the Restoration era. A museum-grade addition to any fine legal library.
[CONDITION REPORT] All three volumes are uniformly bound in sturdy contemporary calf leather featuring contrasting red and black gilt-lettered spine title plates ("KEBLES REPORTS VOL: 1 / 2 / 3"). The bindings display expected antiquarian shelf wear, rubbing to the leather, and minor bumps to the corners, but all boards and joints remain structurally solid and intact. Internally, the text blocks are firm and square. Pages exhibit natural age-toning and faint historical foxing/spotting to the margins but are remarkably clean, crisp, complete, and fully legible throughout.
