Antique & Vintage Photographs

This is a 35mm transparency / slide.

It shows a Hawker Siddeley Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft parked on a concrete apron at an airfield, seen from the front left quarter. The aircraft is finished in an overall light grey scheme with a marking on the fin, and it has the type's long tail boom and a pod on top of the fin. A few people stand around the aircraft, including one figure near the nose and others near the main undercarriage and tail. Low airfield buildings and what appear to be control or lighting structures are visible in the background under a clear sky. The registration or serial is not legible in the image. The mount carries a printed processing date that reads in mirror image as '21 08 85', which decodes as 21 August 1985.
