An original printed postcard. Unposted.
A rarer Louis Wain postcard published by Raphael Tuck in about 1915. Series 8826.
This image was used to advertise the halfpenny postage rate for postcards ( it was a penny for letters) which applied up until 1918 in Britain.
A cheerful looking cat with a postman’s cap above the caption “Cheer Up! You can still post me for a Halfpenny”.
A little light edge and tip wear. Still in quite good overall condition.
