An original sepia photograph mounted on card
It measures a fraction over 30cm x 25cm including the mount
It shows a splendid group of motorcycles with sidecars in Portsmouth Guildhall Square, with the railway station visible behind. A charabanc behind them, and a tram just visible entering the photo on the left.
There is some interesting detail of the Square as it looked before WW2, with the Unionist Association Office left of centre with a sign asking 'Have You Secured Your Vote?' The building and gates on the right have gone.
Condition: The photo is a bit lacking in contrast in the top half, but lots of detail is still visible. Thre are a few very thin ripples where the photo has been mounted on the plate-sunk card, but it is still in very good overall condition.
A nice photo for anyone interested in motorbikes or Portsmouth

This photo is too large to send as a large letter, so will need to be sent as a small packet. Collection in person also available from Old Portsmouth
