An original real photo postcard. Unposted

Published locally by Potsmouth photgrapher Reginald Silk.

It shows the funeral procession for Henry William Mervin, a Volunteer Q.M.S. of the 6th Hants, who was also the Assistant Superintendant of the Telegraphs at Portmouth Post Office.

The local papers at the time reported on the high esteem in which he was held and the large turnout for his funeral at Milton cemetery.

In good overall condition
