This week I'm offering a variety of collectibles, including trading cards as well as comics. By the mid-Seventies, the idea of a graphic novel, a book length comic/illustrated story, was taking shape. One of the very first was a project noted artist Richard Corben was putting together. Usuing a story begun by Robert E. Howard and completed by John Jakes, Corben crafted an epic story of battles in a post-apocalyptic world. The publication of Bloodstar in 1976 was a major event in the comics world, and this achievement remains very popular with fans and collectors. Here I have a copy of the very first printing of Bloodstar, a 1976 hardcover, numbered (2114/5000) on the title page. It's in very good condition, with the top and the bottom of the spine slightly bumped, and a long vertical scuff running top to bottom of the dust jacket about 1/2 inch from the spine (see scans for condition). The inside is in terrific shape, virtually unread. Not bad for a book published fifty years ago! This would be an outstanding addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases.
