Omega Seamaster Cosmic, reference 166.026, from 1968.

In the late sixties Omega reshaped the Seamaster with the Cosmic line, and the 166.026 with its flowing C-shaped case became one of its most recognisable references. This example comes in stainless steel at 35.1 mm, a size that wears elegantly on almost any wrist.

Movement: Omega automatic calibre 565, 24 jewels, with date. The movement serial 26702196 places it in 1968. The watch has been fully serviced from scratch in my workshop and runs with a full power reserve of more than 45 hours.

Dial: original, with applied indices and the Seamaster Cosmic script. A faint fine line on the dial is visible only at a certain angle and does not show in normal wear.

Case: free of scratches. The caseback, engraved with the Seamaster seahorse, Waterproof and 166026 Tool 107, shows light signs of use. The inner caseback is stamped 166.026, matching the reference.

Currently fitted to a brown leather strap. Please refer to the photos, which form part of the description.
