1940s mid-size Stauffer Peerex wrist watch.

 

The watch has a Swiss calibre 26 hand-winding movement for Peerex, which is working nicely, keeping time to within around two minutes or so over 24 hours.  The movement is signed with the name Peerex.

 

The watch measures 29mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs.  The case is chromium plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel.  There is some wear and marking commensurate with the watch’s age.

 

The lens is in good condition.

 

The dial is in its original finish with original hands. 

 

The watch has a modern leather strap.
