This pair of sunglasses is in good used condition.
The lenses are Corning Optics Serengeti glass.
They are anti reflection coated on the backside of the lens and
a very light silver flash coating on the front side.
The lenses do have one very small pit on the left lens just
below the center-line of the lens.
There may be some very microscopic scratches in the lenses or
the coatings perhaps, but overall they are very good.
This frame was owned by a now retired manufacturing optician (me)
and were cared for and seldom worn in fact.
I have put brand new silicone nose pads on the frame and put the
frame into standard adjustment (it sits flat on the table either way).
All screw were tightened.
The case shows some age, but it still protects the glasses.
There is one serious flaw in the frame which can be seen in the close up photos.
The eyewire is covered with a plastic material all the way around and there is a small
part that broke off. The missing material exposes the gold eyewire underneath.
It is not very noticeable, but it is there. I suppose it could be touched up
with some paint if someone wanted to do that.
The lenses are NOT polarized.
The eyesize is 65mm. The bridge is 16mm. The lenses are 56mm vertically and the ED or longest measurement diagonally is 69mm. The temples are 145mm. The inside dimension from temple hinge to temple hinge is 138mm.
This is an exceptional quality frame made by the original Serengeti company. The line was bought out by Safilo this year.
