Unlock new ways to interact with your favourite Nintendo characters! When you tap an amiibo figure to the NFC point on your Wii U GamePad, you'll open up new possibilities within that game. Your amiibo figure's data will be updated as you play, so you can continue to develop your very own amiibo. Amiibo figures can be used in many games – the way amiibo are used will depend on the game. The range of amiibo figures is constantly expanding, so collect them all!

Compatibility with Nintendo 3DS and 2DS: Amiibo figures can also be used on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS consoles with the help of an NFC reader, sold separately. Newer consoles like the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL have a built-in NFC reader near the bottom screen.
