These are solid 9ct gold with no plate so are suited for sensitive skin.

Scrolls have an earring post pin hole that will accommodate an earring with a pin diameter of between 0.7 to 0.8mm diameter, 0.8mm is the most commonly used pin diameter for mass produced earrings in the UK.
