Hallmarked solid silver combined vesta and sovereign case with a rounded rectangular body, suspension ring and engraved scrolling monogram. The vesta compartment has a hinged end lid and a ribbed match striker along the end. A separate hinged cover opens to reveal a circular engine-turned coin holder and a gilt-coloured interior.
Hallmarks are visible on the compartment rim, including a lion passant and an anchor mark. The maker's mark and date letter have not been confidently identified, so no maker or exact date is attributed.

Condition
Pre-owned with signs of age and wear, including numerous surface scratches, scuffs, small marks and tarnishing. There is discolouration and wear to the gilt-coloured interior and darkening around the striker and fittings. The engraved monogram remains visible.
