Extremely rare original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 promotional VHS released by SEGA in Japan in 1992.

The front prominently features Sonic and Tails with the Japanese title ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ2 チラビデオ and is clearly marked:

非売品 / NOT FOR SALE

This was promotional video material created around the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis era and was not a standard retail VHS release.

According to the original case, the video introduces Sonic the Hedgehog 2 through gameplay footage, techniques and other promotional video material. The rear also advertises a contemporary Sega promotional campaign connected with the Mega Drive and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

A particularly desirable piece of early Sonic history because this example remains sealed more than three decades after its original 1992 distribution.
