Professional Mail-In Service: Omega Seamaster GMT Calibre 1128 Hour Wheel & Movement Repair
Is your Omega Seamaster GMT sticking or stalling around 10:00 PM? Is the hour hand slipping, free-spinning, or failing to flip the date over at midnight?
This is a classic mechanical failure of the Omega Calibre 1128 jumping hour wheel assembly. Over time, the delicate internal factory click spring loses tension or wears down. When it encounters the mechanical drag of the date-rollover mechanism at 10:00 PM, the wheel slips internally, stalling the hour hand while the minutes and seconds keep running.
Please do not force the crown past this 10:00 PM resistance, as doing so can permanently strip or break adjacent teeth on the date wheel.
As an experienced watch repair technician, I offer a professional mail-in service to fix this notorious issue.
