2022 Giant Propel Advanced 1 Disc in Midnight Shield, size Large, fitted with SRAM Rival AXS, a Quarq power meter and Roval CLX 64 wheelset.
The Midnight Shield finish changes from silver-grey to a glittery silver-blue in sunlight, while the Giant graphics take on a deep purple. The bike presents excellently for a used bike, with very few cosmetic signs of use, most of which are only apparent on close inspection. The one mark worth specifically noting is a small paint chip on the non-drive-side chainstay near the rear dropout, which is shown in the photographs. Otherwise, the frame and finish have been very well preserved, with nothing that detracts from the overall presentation.
It has just undergone a full strip-down, service and rebuild. The bottom bracket bearings and headset bearings were replaced, both hydraulic brakes were bled, new brake pads were fitted, and the drivetrain was set up as part of the rebuild. The handlebars have also been wrapped in brand new Supacaz Super Sticky Kush bar tape.
The bike is equipped with SRAM Rival AXS 12-speed, with hydraulic disc brakes and a SRAM Quarq left-spindle power meter. The setup provides flawless and fully wireless electronic shifting, and the Quarq power meter provides accurate power data.
The Roval CLX 64 wheelset uses 64mm carbon rims with DT Swiss 240 hub internals and ceramic bearings. They were Roval’s flagship deep-section road wheels and remain an expensive wheelset in their own right. Both wheels run true and the bearings are smooth. They have some light cosmetic marks as shown in the photos. On the road, they hold speed exceptionally well and give the bike the fast, planted feel you expect from a proper deep-section wheelset. They are fitted with Continental GP5000 S TR tyres.
The cockpit is Giant’s Contact SL Aero setup, with a 44cm handlebar and 110mm stem. A Giant integrated computer mount and Elite bottle cage are also included.
The photographs show the bike exactly as it will be sold. It has not been ridden since the full service and rebuild, so it remains freshly set up throughout and ready to go for many miles without needing attention. All SRAM AXS firmware is up to date, the AXS batteries are in good condition, and the original SRAM AXS charger is included with the bike.
