An attractive quality print of the 1946 original work,
almost childlike detailing blended with whimsy and deeper meaning,
highly detailed it shows much of Picasso's brushwork and texture of the oil.

Overtly mythological, featuring with pipe-playing fauns and dancing creatures.
The work is believed to be a parody of Henri Matisse's Bonheur de Vivre (1905-06),
it captures Matisses's lyricism in the extended swirling lines of the figures,
the forms growing organically like flowers moving upwards towards the Mediterranean sun.
The work is often read as a celebration of peace, and his love of Francoise Gilot.
Framed in a simple black frame outlining the image.

Measures approximately 103 x 49.5 cm's (40.5 x 19.5").

Picture is in excellent condition,
frame is in good order but does have a little scuffing to the surface from storage,
but otherwise in very good order, as shown in the pictures.
