Here’s Set II of the Ron Lewis Negro League Fine Arts Postcard set (27/32 cards signed including Hank Aaron)! The cards were signed for me in-person at a Negro Leagues Reunion Show presented by The National Pastime in Secaucus, NJ. The set is #2838 of 10,000.
The autographs include: Hank Aaron (HOF), Lester Lockett, Lyman Bostock, Sr., Josh Gibson, Buck Leonard (HOF), Max Manning, Monte Irvin (HOF), Leon Day (HOF), Minnie Minoso, Ted "Double Duty"Radcliffe, Bill Owens, Bobby Robinson, Wilmer Fields, Edsall Walker, Josh Johnson, Artie Wilson, Earl Taborn, Barney "Bonnie" Serrell, Rodolfo "Rudy" Fernandez, Ray Noble, Jim Cohen, Al Wilmore, Tommy Sampson, Charlie Rivera, Claro Duany, Russel Awkard, Art "Superman" Pennington, Wilmer Harris, Napoleon Gulley, Emilio Navarro, Willie Grace, Red Moore, John "Buck" O'Neill and Stanley Glenn. The 5 unsigned cards are Willie Pope, Henry Kimbro, Charlie Biot, Sam Jethroe and Andy Porter. A few of the multiple player cards are missing some signatures. The blue Sharpie autographs are absolutely stunning as each legend took great care to provide a beautiful signature. The legendary artist Ron Lewis, who was at the show, handwrote the set number (2838 of 10,000), initialed and signed the back of each of the 32 postcards. Set #2838 matches my Ron Lewis Negro League Legends Series 1 set and includes the original box and some flyers from the various Negro League Legends Reunion Shows I attended in the 1990s. I've thoroughly enjoyed having this special piece of baseball memorabilia in my collections for the last 30+ years but it's time to start downsizing and I'm looking to find a good home for my wonderful set. I've also got a spectacular Negro League Legends bat with approximately 60 autographs (including Reggie Jackson's father) ready to list on eBay.
