I have come across a few of these so far, and they do puzzle me.  Apparently my friend was able to buy this caboose literally from the receiving dock of major retailer J. C. Penny, as it is still sealed in the Lionel factory shipping box.  To see what it looks like, poke around right here on Ebay.  It is a nice dark yellow with brown roof and chassis and has good graphics on the sides.  It's a nice looking caboose, and it has a light feature.  And this one has not been seen since it left the factory!  You can be the first!  The labels on the box are pretty confusing and illustrate that stocking a big retail establishment like J. C. Penny was not simple!

I use the Ebay shipping service both domestically and internationally..  Please don't complain about the shipping charges.  I tell Ebay the size and weight of the item to be shipped and they do the rest.  Ebay handles payment and I will ship within three days of payment, usually next day.  If you live in Northern California local delivery might be arranged.

This is an attractive modern Lionel caboose sealed in its shipping carton just as it left the factory.  It can't get any newer than that!  Happy Ebaying!
