These were meticulously coloured by hand using the historic pochoir (stencil) process, giving the images exceptionally vivid, layered ink textures (see images). Some of the images are a little erotic. CONDITION A good complete set. The leather bindings are in good condition with some light rubbing. Endpapers very good and all inner joints sound with no cracking. Bindings firm and square and with all contents present. Name to ffep on both volumes. All pages in very good clean condition and free from foxing, stains etc. The illustrations are as vibrant as ever and in very good condition. Overall a very good copy.
