This is a charming vintage pair of ceramic dog salt and pepper shakers. These adorable "wrinkle-faced" pups feature hand-painted black spots and large, fluffy plume-like tails curved over their backs, characteristic of a Pekingese or Japanese Chin breed. Each figurine is stamped "JAPAN" on the bottom in red.

Condition:

The set is in good vintage condition with age-appropriate crazing (fine lines in the glaze) and minor paint wear. Please note: The original cork stoppers are missing. These are best suited for decorative display or as a charming addition to a vintage dog collection.
