Condition

This is a used bass and shows its age. There are scuffs, scratches and small dings on the body, and the metal parts such as the bridge, tuners and neck plate are dull. The year of manufacture is not marked on the bass; 1986 is our estimate from the neck plate serial number. The bass only is included, with no case, gig bag or other accessories. The bass was checked by a non-specialist, so small problems may have been missed, and some small marks may not show in the photos. Please check all 16 photos before buying.

Description

This is an Aria Pro II RSB Formula electric bass made in Japan. The headstock carries the RSB FORMULA logo, and the neck plate is stamped ACCURATE BOLT ON SYSTEM, serial number 6031281 and MADE IN JAPAN. It has a PJ pickup layout with an active circuit, four control knobs and a mini switch, and there is a battery box on the back of the body. The neck has 24 frets and a 32 inch medium scale. We have tested it: the bass makes sound, and the active circuit and every control work. There are scuffs, scratches and small dings from age, and the metal parts are dull. History & Rarity

Aria Pro II was the guitar and bass brand of Aria in Japan. Instruments of this period are said to have been made by Matsumoku in Matsumoto, Nagano, and Matsumoku is said to have stopped production around February 1987. According to collectors' research, the first digit of the 7-digit neck plate serial number shows the last digit of the year, so this bass is believed to have been made in 1986.
