C.G. Conn New Wonder Series II "Chu Berry" Eb Alto
Saxophone, made in Elkhart, Indiana. Serial number dates it to approximately
1926–1927. Stamped "Low Pitch." Features rolled tone holes, original
key rollers, nail-file G# key, and microtuner neck. The microtuner mechanism
moves.
Silver-plated finish with heavy tarnishing throughout.
Plating wear on high-contact areas, including the body near the thumb rest and
neck strap ring. There are dents on the bottom bow, including beneath the bow
guard. It is difficult to determine whether the bell originally had a
gold-washed interior due to the heavy tarnishing.
Will need to be serviced prior to playing: Complete
overhaul, including repadding, cleaning, silver polishing, and dent work on the
bottom bow. Additional inspection and adjustments may be necessary.
Instrument has not been fully evaluated for playing
condition. Additional service or repairs may be necessary beyond those
specifically described.
Includes original Conn hard case and vintage Selmer hard
rubber mouthpiece marked "Table A."
Serial #: M1843xx.
Bidding Limits
- To help prevent fraudulent bidding, unpaid items, and other issues, bidders are limited to bidding on a maximum of four (4) different auction lots at a time.
- This limit is strictly enforced. Please do not contact me requesting an exception or an increase to your bidding limit. I will not reconsider or modify this policy.
Auction Only – No Buy It Now
- All items are sold exclusively through auction. There are no Buy It Now prices, and I do not accept offers to end auctions early or sell items outside the auction process.
- Please do not contact me asking for a Buy It Now price or requesting a private sale. If I wanted to offer a Buy It Now option, it would already be included in the listing.
Item Condition ? For Parts or Not Working
- eBay's description of "For Parts or Not Working": "An item that does not function as intended and is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. See the seller's listing for full details."
- A mouthpiece is considered an essential component of a musical instrument. Therefore, instruments sold without a mouthpiece are listed under "For Parts or Not Working," even if the instrument might otherwise be functional.
- Instruments are being sold in their current, unserviced condition. Some may require relatively minor repairs, while others may need extensive restoration. Unless specifically stated otherwise, instruments have not been fully evaluated for playing condition.
- I make every effort to describe visible defects, missing parts, and known service needs. However, additional problems may exist beyond those specifically mentioned in the listing. Buyers should anticipate the possibility of additional repairs and associated expenses.
- Please carefully review the individual instrument description and photographs to understand its condition and exactly what is included.
Shipping Price
- Shipping costs are calculated by eBay based on the package weight, dimensions, shipping service, and delivery location. I provide the package measurements and weight, and eBay calculates the shipping charge accordingly.
- In most cases, eBay's calculated shipping cost is accurate. On very rare occasions, the calculated shipping charge may exceed the actual shipping cost. If that happens, I will refund the difference. For the most part, please plan on the shipping charges quoted by eBay being accurate.
- Shipping insurance will be included in the shipping price for instruments.
International Shipping & Shipping to Other Countries
- Eligible instruments are offered through the eBay International Shipping program. If your country is supported and the item qualifies, you may purchase it through eBay's international shipping service.
- I ship eligible international orders to eBay's domestic shipping hub. eBay handles the international portion of the shipment, including customs processing and international delivery.
- International shipping charges, applicable import duties, taxes, and other fees are determined by eBay and are the buyer's responsibility.
