Antique wooden Simple System transverse flute with open finger holes, metal keywork, and decorative metal joint rings. The instrument separates into four sections and features a metal-lined tuning assembly in the headjoint. No manufacturer markings or serial number have been located.

Wooden body shows scratches, finish wear, and other signs of age and use. There is a visible crack in the tuning barrel area. One metal joint ring may be missing. The instrument features older-style keywork rather than the modern Boehm system.

Will need to be serviced prior to playing: Complete repad, recorking of the joints, evaluation and repair of the crack in the tuning barrel, and inspection of the possibly missing joint ring. Additional cleaning, keywork servicing, and adjustments may be necessary.

Instrument has not been fully evaluated for playing condition. Additional service or repairs may be necessary beyond those specifically described.
