Serving as the follow-up to 2024's Inorganic Rites, NYC based modern black metal legends Krallice return with their 16th full-length Scour Order. Marking their first release upon re-joining the malevolent roster of Profound Lore for their first project since 2011's Diotima, the musical visionary Colin Marston continues to push the confines of the American black metal blueprint, combining frenetic tremolo guitar picking, staggeringly complex drum-fills and blast-beats, as well as nuanced elements of frosted keyboards, into one trudging, sonically murky cavern of despair. Elevated by the throaty, almost hardcore punk stylings of vocalist Mick Barr, gloomy tomes such as 'Kill The Guardian' exemplify just how vitally consistent, oppressive and inimitable the band remain almost two full decades into their blackened tenure.
