Antique Wingfield & Rowbotham smoothing plane, Weld To Shoe

I'm not sure that both parts of the iron are original, that's not to say that they are definitely not because they fit the mechanism when you put the iron into the plane. Looks like the handles have been varnished. There is a weld to the side of the plane as you can see in the photos. The iron is actually quite sharp. The shoe has a total width of 5.9 centimeters or just over 2.25 inches full stop with the total length of the shoe and including the nubby bit on the end where the handle is attacked 8.75 inches or 22.2 centimeters
