Vintage green-toned metal bird leg band stamped with identification number 977. No other identifying markings are visible. Species, location, maker, and original purpose are unknown; used for a duck or other waterfowl of similar size.

Features an overlapping split-band design. Shows substantial wear to the green finish, exposed silver-tone metal, scratches, scuffs, and discoloration. The band is slightly out of round, with uneven overlapping ends, as pictured.
