CRITICAL FITMENT & SALES POLICY: Please verify your exact engine code (D4FB) stamped on the engine block pad (front left above the oil pan flange) or listed under section P5 of your V5C logbook prior to purchase. Ensure your original unit is Euro 5 (metal intake / Euro 5 sensor configuration). Sold strictly as a bare engine block and cylinder head assembly (sump, block, cylinder head, rocker cover, and internal timing chain setup). Excludes turbocharger, diesel fuel injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, alternator, starter motor, AC compressor, EGR valve, wire harness, and gearbox.
Condition: Low-mileage run-tested engine. Tested on-vehicle prior to removal: excellent, even cylinder compression across all 4 cylinders, smooth idling, clean coolant/oil channels, no blow-by, no overheating issues,and zero bottom-end knocks or timing chain noise.
Internal Status: Clean valve train, oil drained clear with no metallic debris or soot contamination.
Auxiliaries Advisory: Attached external sensor plugs, brackets, or water hoses left on the unit are strictly for transit protection and carry no warranty.
To protect the unit and validate warranty coverage:
Timing Chain & Tensioners: Inspect timing chain guides and hydraulic tensioners prior to installation.
Engine Oil & Filter Service: Refill strictly with fresh Low-SAPS synthetic diesel engine oil matching ACEA C3 (5W-30) to protect the DPF system and fit a brand-new OEM oil filter.
Fuel Injector Seals: Always replace the copper crushed sealing washers on all 4 diesel injectors before reinstalling them into the cylinder head.
Cooling System Vacuum Bleed: Vacuum-fill and bleed the cooling system completely to eliminate air pockets and prevent head gasket thermal shock.
