This 1981 Topps Football Joe Montana Rookie #216 has earned a BGS 8 NM-MT grade. The 1981 Topps Montana is one of the most important football rookie cards ever produced, and NM-MT examples offer strong eye appeal for 49ers collectors and vintage football set builders. Joe Montana won a national championship at Notre Dame before the San Francisco 49ers selected him in the third round of the 1979 NFL Draft. He won four Super Bowls, three Super Bowl MVP awards, and two NFL MVP awards in San Francisco before finishing his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Montana is a Pro Football Hall of Fame (HOF) inductee (2000).
