Vintage Nakamichi LX-3 2-Head Cassette Deck Partially Working SEE DESCRIPTION

The pros

Cosmetically in really good shape

All functions ffwd rewind play pause rec all engage and function, counter works and the motor works!

The cons

Pretty sure it needs a new belt as occasional speed fluctuations occur when playing back tapes!

When used for recording it only records on one channel and the other channel only partially erases what was on the tape previously!

After looking online this could either be a problem with the head or a problem with a capacitor!

If you’re just looking for a playback deck and are willing to change the belt this could be an excellent option for you, it sounds INCREDIBLE and rivals my cd player!

I had every intention of restoring this myself but annoyingly life has got in the way and I don’t have the time, it’s a shame to not be used as it’s a fantastic piece of kit and so it’s time to move it on somewhere it can be restored and loved!
