This listing is for a Victorian era serving spoon recently purchased from a local estate sale. It was made by the Atkins Brothers of Sheffield.
The spoon is silver plated and features a large bowl with gold wash. The bowl is embossed with flowers and fine chasing in the background. The fiddle style handle is etched with initials and features more fine chasing work on the stem.
It measures 91/2" tall and is hallmarked "HA FA EA" and has a shield denotating that the spoon is electroplated.
This type and size of spoon was typically used for serving soft desserts such as berries, fruits, or pastries.
Condition: Good. It needs polishing. See close up photos.
