FAULTY – FOR SPARES OR REPAIR
Selling my 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, which I've used professionally for video editing and production.
This is a particularly high-spec configuration, featuring the upgraded 8-core Intel Core i9 processor, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD and AMD Radeon Pro 5600M graphics with 8GB HBM2 memory.

KNOWN FAULTS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
1. Graphics-related crashes and startup problems
The laptop has developed a fault causing intermittent black screens, GPU panic errors and unexpected shutdowns. Occasionally the fans spin loudly before the machine shuts down.
It has previously been able to boot and operate in Safe Mode, although normal startup is unreliable.
More recently, I've experienced further difficulty starting the machine. However, this may have been due to the ageing battery being discharged, so I cannot confirm whether the underlying graphics issue has worsened.
Diagnostic reports have included errors such as "AGC GPU REGISTER RESTORE FAILED", alongside other graphics-related panic messages.
SMC/NVRAM resets and macOS troubleshooting have been attempted without permanently resolving the issue.
The exact underlying fault has not been professionally diagnosed. It may require significant hardware repairs, potentially including logic-board work.
2. Battery requires servicing
The battery reports "Service Recommended". At the last check, it had 1,815 charge cycles and a full charge capacity of 6,671mAh.
During particularly demanding workloads, the battery has previously discharged despite the laptop being connected to mains power.
3. Left speaker
The left speaker produces crackling, buzzing and distorted audio.
4. Excessive heat
The machine runs very hot, particularly when performing demanding tasks such as video editing and exporting.
COSMETIC CONDITION AND ACCESSORIES
The 16-inch Retina screen is in excellent condition, with no known scratches, cracks or display damage.
The screen is functional and has successfully displayed an image despite the intermittent startup and graphics issues.
The machine shows signs of normal use, including some keyboard wear and a mark on the underside where a sticker was previously attached. Please refer to the photographs for its cosmetic condition.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This laptop is being sold strictly as faulty, for spares or repair. It should not be considered a fully functioning or reliable computer.
Although it has previously operated in Safe Mode, successful startup or continued operation cannot be guaranteed.
The precise cause of the graphics-related fault is unknown. Further repairs may be required, and additional faults may be present or discovered during testing.
The laptop is being sold with the known faults fully disclosed. Please examine the photographs and read the description carefully before purchasing.
