ABOUT THIS BOOK

Manly P. Hall interprets the Hermetic marriage as an allegory of the union of opposing spiritual principles, drawing on alchemy, Hermes, mythology and the symbolic language of the philosopher’s stone. Cover lists chapters on Hermetic anatomy, philosophy in fairy story, nature, the love stories of the gods, the spirit and soul and the immaculate conception. The work first appeared in the 1920s; this photographed copy has not been independently established as a first printing.
