Beautiful antique Elbogen Austria cabinet plate dating to circa 1890–1910. These plates were created using a mix of transfer artwork and hand-applied detailing, just as Austrian decorating houses produced them at the turn of the century. The rose bouquets are original period transfers, while the gold stenciling around the rim was applied by hand, giving each piece its own character and glow. Plate #19 features the hand-painted swirl center with that soft, brushed look collectors love. Plate #18 has the original smooth, glossy center with no swirl painting, exactly as produced. The artwork is crisp, the gold is bright, and the colors have been beautifully preserved.
