A beautiful matched pair of vintage Limoges porcelain miniature ewers, made in France.

Each has a rich ruby red / burgundy ground decorated with lavish gold gilding, including ornate scrolling handles, flared bases and foliate detailing.

The fronts feature two different romantic courting scenes in an 18th-century Rococo style – one depicting a seated couple and the other a gentleman musician presenting a flower to a seated lady.

Both pieces are marked Limoges France to the underside.

A particularly decorative pair and lovely displayed together in a cabinet, on a mantelpiece or dressing table.
