The Vizelex ND Throttle is known for its integrated variable neutral density filter, which allows light reduction from 2 to 8 stops. This adapter concept was praised by filmmakers and now Fotodiox has optimized the adapter for the same audience. The Vizelex ND Throttle reduces light transmission by one level in its “Min” position. The adapter helps maintain a shallow depth of field in bright conditions and eliminates the hassle of changing filters every time exposure changes. With the filter on the back, the image quality is better than if the same filter were placed on the front of a lens. The variable ND filter is made of optical polycarbonate (CR39) for clarity and durability.

• This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.

• Some cameras need to be set up in a certain way to work with our adapters, or you may receive a message such as "Error: Lens not attached - check lens". 

Because manual lens adapters do not provide power to the lens, these lenses cannot focus.

• Set exposure manually or meter using your camera's aperture priority (stopping down) mode.

• If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, the lens aperture will reset to its default position, which is either stopped down to its maximum aperture stop or opened to its smallest aperture stop, depending on the lens.
