This intricate Sculpture features an endearing scene of a parent Fox bathing its small Cub inside an old fashioned wooden wash tub. The Parent stand over the the edge, holding a scrub brush detailed with frothy white soap bubbles, while the attentive little Cub sits comfortably inside the blue painted water.

This Piece boasts clear, crisp and deep stamps on the lower edge flange - the coveted Bergman Amphora mark alongside the capitalised "AUSTRIA" stamp.

The Amphora Mark explicitly attributes the piece to the legendary foundry of Franz Xaver Bergman (1861-1936), the premier name in antique Viennese Cold Cast Bronzes.

Dating from the golden era of Austrian Bronzes between the late 1890s and 1920s, this figurine showcases the exceptional attention to detail, lifelike animal expressions and storytelling that makes Bergman's workshop world famous.

This Complex multi-figure design makes it a high grade investment piece for Collectors.

The Lifelike textured fur moulding and beautiful composition, make this an eye-catching display item for a library shelf, cabinet or country desk.

It is also a Treasure for Fox and Wildlife enthusiasts and would also make a Beautiful Christmas Gift, waiting under the tree to be revealed......

This Figural Group is in Excellent Antique Condition with superb structural detailing and crisp moulding. It retains a beautiful aged character.

In keeping with authentic cold painted bronzes of this age, there is honest paint rubbing and enamel wear down to the warm bronze base on the prominent areas.

The minor paint loss is consistent with careful handling over the last century and confirms its untouched, authentic, antique status.

The Markings are exceptionally clear, deep and well preserved.
