Ashland Leather Classic Dopp Kit in Horween Color 8 Dublin, Pre-Owned, Excellent Condition

A handcrafted Dopp kit from Ashland Leather Co. in Chicago, made from Horween Color 8 Dublin leather. Color 8 is the deep, dark burgundy-brown that Horween is known for. This kit has had minimal use and is in excellent pre-owned condition.

Why Horween Color 8 Dublin?
Dublin is vegetable-tanned at the Horween tannery in Chicago with the same base tannage as their Shell Cordovan. It has a hard-wax finish that gives dramatic pull-up. The color lightens where the leather flexes, then deepens again with handling. The result is a rich, one-of-a-kind patina that improves with age.

Condition
Pre-owned with minimal use, in excellent condition. The leather is clean and supple, the stitching is tight and intact, and the zipper runs smoothly. As with all Horween Dublin, it shows a light natural patina and pull-up marks from handling, which is part of the character of this leather. There are no tears, cuts, or structural damage. Care
Minor scuffs buff out with a finger. Horween leather is full of natural oils, so it doesn’t need conditioning right away. After six months to a year, a small dab of leather conditioner and a soft brush will keep it looking good.
