Offered here is a very rare original Volume No. 1 1900 edition of The Official Manual of the Cripple Creek District in Colorado. Written by Fred Hills, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Measures 8.50 x 11.0. Includes 495 pages of very well detailed information, photographs and illustration on about all of the mines that were producing in 1900 throughout the Cripple Creek Mining District. From the Abdalah Gold Mining Company on Squaw Mountain to The Zeus Gold Mining and Milling Company with mines located on Grouse Mountain to all those in between. First pages are dedicated to the History and Geology of Cripple Creek naming all the players, with the rest of this volume taken up with the individual mines and mine maps. Tough to find this one outside of collections these days, with the map typically missing unfortunately. Still a wonderful display reference on Cripple Creek mining during the boom years, well suited for any library. Thanks for looking!
